Passive voice in Past continuous tense


तुम्हारा इंतिजार किया जा रहा था |
You were being waited.

उसे मारा जा रहा था |
He was being beaten.

उसे सताया जा रहा था |
He was being oppressed.

अगर हिंदी वाक्यों के अन्त में जा रहा था आता है तो was/were + being + verb की third form का प्रयोग करते हैं |

Similarly, a sentence is said to be in Passive Voice when something is done to the subject. In the above sentence Ram is the a subject a and Ravana is the a object a. In the active voice sentence Ram i.e., the subject has killed the object Ravana.

 

तो तुमने क्यों कहा ?

Why did you say so ?

मैं भी फन मॉल आई थी |

I too had come to the fun mall.

यह कौन सी नई बीमारी है ?

What new ailment is this?

हालात ही कुछ ऐसे हो गए हैं |

कम से कम इतना तो बता दो कि तुम मुझे कहाँ ले जा रहे हो |
