Past perfect tense

जब कोई काम भूतकाल मैं पूरी तरह समाप्त हो गया हो तो हम past prefect tense का प्रयोग करते हैं | past prefect टेंस मैं verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग होता है |

वह जा चूका था |
He has gone.

जब किसी वाक्य मैं दो काम ख़त्म हो रहे होते हैं और एक काम पहले ख़त्म होता है और दुसरा काम बाद मैं तब हम पहले ख़त्म होने वाले वाक्य को past prefect टेंस मैं बनाते हैं और बाद मैं ख़त्म होने वाले वाक्य को past indefinite मैं बनाते हैं |

जैसे

उसके आने से पहले मैं काम ख़त्म कर चूका था |
I had finished my work before he came.

इस वाक्य में मैं काम ख़त्म कर चूका था वाला sentence को past perfect मैं बनाया गया हैं क्योंकि काम पहले ख़त्म हुआ और उसके आने वाली क्रिया बाद मैं हुई है |

मैं तुम्हारे जाने के बाद उससे मिलने गया था |
I went to meet him after you had gone.

इस वाक्य मैं जाने का काम पहले हुआ हैं और मिलने का काम बाद मैं इसलिए उससे मिलने गया था वाला sentence past indefinite मैं बना है और जाने के बाद वाला past prefect tense मैं बना है |

structure – से पहले – before

Past perfect  (first ended word) + before + past indefinite  (second ended work)

वह मेरे आने से पहले ही मर चुकी थी |
She had died before I came.

तुमने सोने से पहले क्या खाया था |
What had you eaten before you sleep.

डॉक्टर के आने से पहले मरीज मर चूका था |
Patient had died before doctor came.

पुलिस के आने से पहले ही भीड़ तितर बितर हो चुकी थी |
The crowd had dispersed before police came.

मेरे घर पहुँचने से पहले ही वो खाना बना चुकी थी |
She had cooked the food before I reached the house.

मेरे ऑफिस से निकलने से पहले बारिश बंद हो चुकी थी |
The rain had stopped before I came out the office.

मेरे स्टेशन पहुँचने से पहले ही ट्रेन जा चुकी थी |
The train had gone before I reached the station.
Structure – बाद मैं – after

Past indefinite  (second ended work) + after  + Past perfect  (first ended word)

तुम्हारे जाने के बाद मैं उससे मिलने गया था |
I went to meet him after you had gone.

तुम्हारे जाने के बाद उसने ज़हर खा लिया था |
He poisoned himself after you had gone.

अपने पिता के मरने के बाद उसने घर छोड़ दिया था |
He left home after his father had died.

तुम्हारे जाने के बाद उसने घर बेच दिया था |
He sold the house after you had gone.

तुम्हारे जाने के बाद वो यहाँ कभी नहीं आयी थी |
She never came here after you had gone.


 Interrogative sentence

क्या तुमने खाना खाने के बाद दवाई ली थी
Did you have medicine after you had eaten food?

क्या तुमने सोने से पहले दूध पीया था
Had you drunk milk before you slept?

The formula for writing the past perfect tense is: had  past participle. In most situations, youall form the past participle of a verb by adding -ed or -d to the end, but there are many irregular verbs in English. Examples: If I had talked to her before she left, we may not be in this situation.

तुम इससे पूरा दिन खेला करते थे |

मैं क्या गलत कर रहा हूँ ?

क्या किया तुमने ? मुझे लगता है तुमने उसे जान से मार दिया |

दवाईयां expire हो गई थी |
The medicine had expired.

The past perfect one of the four verb forms of the past tense. It is used for actions that started and finished in the past before another action started. That other action also occurred in the past. Because the past perfect is a part of the aperfecta tense, it expresses completed actions.

किसी की मुझे छूने की हिम्मत न होती |
no one would've dared to touch me.
क्या यह लड़की सच बोल रही है ?

The past perfect tense is used to show past actions. The past perfect tense demonstrates the past relative to timing or other past events and is often used for reporting on things that happened or were said. It is easy to form by adding had along with the past participle of any verb.

अच्छे लोगो के साथ अच्छा होता है |
good things happen to good people.
तुम्हें deposit और brokerage कल तक मिल जायेगा |
You will get the deposit and brokerage by tomorrow.
कमल से नहीं मिलवाओगे ?
won't you introduce us to Kamal?
अब मैं तुमसे रोज नहीं मिल सकती |
I can't meet you every day now.

Past Perfect Tense is used to express two types of actions which occurred or completed in the past. It is usually used to express an action which occurred a long time ago in past. It gives a sense of completion of an activity in past. e.g. She had sent me her picture an year ago.

सुबह सुबह मेरा मूड मत खराब करो |
Don't spoil my mood in the morning.
तुमने दरवाजा क्यों बंद किया ?
Why did you close the door?
अगर तुम उसे नहीं सुधार सके तो ?

अपना खाना खाओ |
